After getting the marriage license in Florida, I advice couples to book a date with a wedding officiant with at least 3 months in advance as the marriage ceremony must be performed within 60 days after you receive it. One indispensable requirement that you need for your civil wedding day is two witnesses with their photo IDs as driver licenses, or passport. You may think this is no relevant but believe me, you won’t be worrying about it that day so do it in advance, ask and make sure they understand and have their IDs. The last step will be to return the original license to the County Marriage License Bureau within ten (10) days.
